DESCRIPTION:As a follow up to our "Grow Your Best Tomatoes" presentation
  in the spring\, the library will host a *Seed Saving Demonstration* alo
 ng with a ~Tomato Contest~ next Thursday\, September 5th at 11:00am. Ben
  Casteel\, Professor of Horticulture at Virginia Highlands Community Col
 lege Greenhouse will walk us through the process of seed saving and answ
 er any related questions you may have. This is also a good opportunity t
 o bring any seeds from crops harvested this season that you wish to dona
 te to the SCPL Seed Library to share with others in the community for fu
 ture growing seasons. \n\n\nIn addition\, if you still have some tomatoe
 s growing in your gardens\, please bring your best ones and enter our ~T
 omato Contest~! There will be various prizes awarded for the heaviest to
 mato\, tastiest\, most beautiful\, rarest heirloom\, funkiest fruit\, et
 c. Registration forms for the contest will be available in the library b
 efore the program and onsite that day. If you have questions\, please ca
 ll the library at 276-646-3404.\n\n\nLimitations to Tomato Entries: Only
  home-grown tomatoes please. All entries should be washed. Please provid
 e a description of the type of tomato if known. Ticket numbers will be a
 ssigned when you submit your entries on the morning of the contest.
