We’re Hiring: Makerspace Facilitator (Part-time)
The Smyth County Public Library is hiring a new part-time staff member to serve as the facilitator for our new makerspace, The Makery, located at the Chilhowie Branch Library. The Makerspace Facilitator will ensure a safe, creative environment by providing technical support and instructional programming. This role connects patrons with complex technology by guiding them through the creative process to a finished product. This position delivers public programs using equipment in the makerspace and works with patrons on a one-to-one basis as they learn to use various pieces of equipment available in the makerspace. This position will work up to 15 hours per week and Saturdays and evening shifts will be required. Some hours will be worked during the regular operating hours of the Chilhowie Branch.
