Black and white photograph of Elizabeth Copenhaver (b. 30 Nov 1835 d. 25 Sep 1893), the first daughter of Jacob Copenhaver (b. 5 Aug 1811 d. 5 Jun 1876) and his wife, Mary Dean (b. 10 Apr 1813 d. 28 Feb 1891). First marriage on 19 Oct 1859 to John P. Epling (b. 16 Jan 1835 d. during Civil War). Second marriage on 30 Oct 1867 to Hiram Sherwood (b. 1 Apr 1836 d. 12 Nov 1885). She is buried in St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery in Chilhowie, Virginia, between her two husbands.
