Smyth County Digital Collection
The Smyth County Digital Collection consists of more than 15,000 records of various types (photographs, family Bibles, ledgers, newspaper articles, etc.) contributed by members of the community and digitized and indexed over several years by the Smyth County Genealogical Society and individual volunteers. We look forward to adding new items to the collection in the future. SCPL is pleased to make this collection available to our patrons for their research and enjoyment. SCPL is not the author of any of the documents and is not responsible for their content.
Navigate through the collection by clicking on one of the headings in the left navigation pane and then into the sub-folders associated with each category. Every effort has been made to organize the materials logically in sequence, chronologically, or alphabetically as most appropriate for the item type. Patrons can also use the website search function to find items by name, place, or institution.
Patron feedback on the collection is welcome. Please use the “Ask a Librarian” form at the bottom of the page to submit your comments.
