Join us Monday, August 24th at the Marion Public Library for a night of Chaos Embroidery. What is chaos embroidery? Think of it as the ultimate "no-rules" sewing. It’s a mindful, calming way to create textured art by layering threads, contrasting colors, and adding fun extras like beads, buttons, and chains. Must pre-register. Ages 18+. FREE.

Know how to play American-style Mahjongg?  Join us at 10am at the Marion Public Library for a morning of this a fascinating rummy-like game, that combines skill and luck –played with tiles rather than cards. Table space is limited to 8 players, so be sure to email RachelG@scplva.net to let us know you are interested.   We will provide the tile games and annual Mahjongg cards for use at the library (cannot be taken home) and even a snack to keep you going.  FREE.  Ages 18+. Don’t know how to play?  We can teach you.

Join us at the Marion Public Library on Thursday, August 27th for Horror Movie Night: House on Haunted Hill is a 1959 American horror film directed by William Castle. The film was written by Robb White and stars Vincent Price and Carol Ohmart as eccentric millionaires Frederick Loren and Annabelle Loren, who have invited five people to the house for a “haunted house” party. Ages 18+. FREE.  Box office worthy snacks provided.
