Book Donations Suspended in Marion
The Marion Friends of the Smyth County Public Library have temporarily suspended acceptance of book donations until January 2027. The Friends greatly appreciate the generosity of community members who donate books for regular Friends book sales. The funds raised by book sales are used to support library programs. Due to a large number of recent donations, storage capacity has been exhausted. The group will use the period until January to sort and organize the books already received to prepare for future sales. Questions may be directed to Marion Friends President Susie Jennings at vsjennings47@gmail.com.
