Free COVID-19 Tests
All SCPL branches now have free at-home antigen tests available. The new tests do not require an internet connection nor an ID (a change from the tests the library was distributing in late 2021). The tests are provided by the Virginia Department of Health as part of a program designed to improve testing and limit transmission in areas of the state most vulnerable to continued transmission of the virus.
Patrons should call the SCPL location of their choice to arrange to pickup test kits. Please do not enter any library location if you believe you may have contracted the illness. Library staff will bring the tests out to your vehicle. Library staff cannot help administer the test or answer questions about it.
