Black: CREATING SCRATCHBOARD MANDALAS (Adult Summer Reading Craft)
For the 2025 Adult Summer Reading Program events, this year’s theme is “Color Our World”.
We invite you to embark on a journey of art & creativity, celebrating the many ways art enriches our lives. Our program is designed to inspire you through weekly color-concentrated events, learning & fun. It is Week 8, and we’re celebrating the end of the summer reading crafts with a complete absence of color — BLACK.
Join us on Thursday, July 31st from 6 to 8pm, upstairs in the Marion library, to create Mandalas on scratchboard. Our scratchboard may be black, but it reveals all the colors of the rainbow when scratched. This fun craft will teach you a new meditative practice. Can’t draw? No need to worry, we have stencils. No experience needed.
All materials provided FREE. Class limited to 16. Ages 18+
