SCREENING: Music Born in the Mountains (College for Older Adults)

Join us Monday, June 30th from 6 to 8pm as we enjoy a FREE screening of the Music Born in the Mountains class from the College for Older Adults in Abingdon, VA.
Ivy Sheppard, General Manager of Emory & Henry University Radio station WEHC & Appalachian music scholar tells us that there’s nothing like the sounds of a recording captured in the grooves of a 78rpm record. They are time capsules holding clues to a world now gone. Plus, there’s some really great music to be heard! Join radio broadcaster and music historian, Ivy Sheppard as she digs through her extensive record catalog and shares sounds and stories from southwest Virginia and beyond.
FREE. Ages 18+. No registration required.
