MINDFUL JOURNALING (Tuesdays in September)

Weekly from

In a continuation of our popular journaling series, the Marion Public Library invites you to Mindful Journaling class Tuesdays in September from 6 to 8pm.  Mindful Journaling is a combination of long form journaling (think writing in your diary) combined with some artful illustration (think doodling in the margins).  We are inviting a different guest artist and/or writer to join us weekly for inspiration.   All materials provided –including the journal, markers, colored pencils, stencils, scrap paper, etc.

Come one week or all five weeks… you decide.  There is no pressure to read your entries out loud, but if you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you.

“Mindful journaling allows the space to show up for your own emotions—contentment, anxiety, hunger, exhilaration, even sheer boredom—and just hang out with them for a little while. . . . The gift of fearless self-expression also blooms into self-compassion.” – from mindful.org
