SCREENING: Live Walking Tour of the Last Day in Pompeii (Ages 18+)

On Monday, July 20th at 6pm, join us for an on-screen tour of The Last Days of Pompeii.  This year’s Summer Reading Program theme is Unearth a Story – Dinosaurs, Archaeology & Paleontology.  Our adult events will focus mainly on ancient civilizations, their customs & historical sites.

When Mount Vesuvius literally exploded in 79 AD, the ancient city of Pompei was cancelled from the face of the Earth. 1700 years later the archaeologists brought back Pompei to life. No ancient city has ever been found in such a wonderful state of preservation.

We’ll shed light on their dreams and fears, their daily challenges and loves. A journey through political corruption, trades, slavery, gladiators fights, graffiti, incredible wealth and absolute poverty.

Pre-registration is not required. Ages 18+.
